SVP Appeal 2015 CBS Roscommon

Written by: Tim Lambe, Jack Lohan, Dean Gallagher, Allan Hill.

This year class 3H of CBS Roscommon decided to help the less fortunate in our community by taking part in the annual St Vincent de Paul Food Appeal. Everyone in the school was encouraged to bring in non perishable goods such as pasta, cereal, beans, coffee, soup, teabags, bags of sweets, pot noodles and all other foods with a good sell by date. All students and staff of CBS Roscommon were committed to helping this years cause and we would like to thank all for their generous contributions.

St Vincent de Paul are a hard working organisation that help poor people all over Ireland throughout the year and especially at Christmas. They provide essential services such as home visits, money management, hospital visits, meals on wheels and much much more!

It has been a very successful year in gathering the food and we hope to continue this event next year.

Once again a sincere thank you to all for your generous contribution,

From 3H
