The Edmund Rice Centre is attempting to break a World Record later this year in order to raise awareness about autism. Under the leadership of Ms Orla O’Connor, the centre is hoping to break the Guinness world record for the longest blue ribbon for Autism Awareness. To raise funds for this event, a coffee morning was held in the Bank of Ireland last week. Bank of Ireland kindly offered to match the amount that was raised throughout the day. Customers of the bank were extremely supportive of the initiative, and we wish to sincerely thank both Bank of Ireland and its customers for their generosity. More than seven hundred euro was raised on the day.
