Once again, a huge thank you to CBS Roscommon teachers who have been keeping in regular contact with students throughout the week. This has helped to maintain a degree of normality for students in unprecedented times, and provides them with a sense of direction and routine in their day and allows them to keep up to date with their studies. Distance learning has been a steep learning curve for teachers and students alike, but the speed to which we are adapting is astonishing.
We would like to remind students and parents that Wellbeing is key at this time, and to encourage students to take regular breaks, exercise, practice a sports skill outside or go for a walk. Our greatest priority is that our school community remains mentally and physically well at this time, and balance between work, rest and physical activity is key to achieving this. The feedback so far from students has been largely positive. They are missing their classmates and daily interactions at school, but are enjoying the innovative learning methods they are now utilising, as well as greater responsibity and independence for their own learning. We hope that we will all have taken many valuable lessons from this that will stand us in good measure in the future.
