The CBS is rolling out a ‘wireless keyboard’ pilot scheme with Fifth Year LCVP students to increase their accessibility to technology in school, and to optimise their productivity in the classroom setting. The new keyboards will allow the Fifth-Year students to access their suite of Microsoft Office products on their smart phones and use them like laptops in class. They are now able access and upload class materials instantly, and type more efficiently. It turns any classroom into a computer room and eases demand on the school’s existing computer rooms. It is hoped in the future that this initiative can be rolled out on a wider basis within the school. Many thanks to Mr Scollan and Ms Flynn for their work in getting this scheme up and running.
