Transition year student Scott Lawrence, under the CBS Roscommon Enterprise Program, has launched a very successful business Scott’s Solutions with his first product the Mask Wallet. He has already secured orders in local businesses.
Scott recognised the increased use of masks due to COVID 19 and identified a gap in the market for mask storage. His Mask Wallet responds to this need and reduces the risk of dirt and germ transfer to your mask in this compact storage device. Its design ensures that it will fit in a pocket, handbag, and schoolbag and also has a metal ring so the Mask Wallet can be attached to keys.
The Mask Wallet has been an overwhelming success with over 100 sales in its first week. Scott has approached pharmacies and local retailers and is delighted with the support of Rosmed Pharmacy who will be selling the Mask Wallet. He is optimistic that the demand for his Mask Wallet will increase and will soon be available in other retail outlets. At this time of year, they are also ideal stocking fillers!
The transition year enterprise program provides students with the opportunity to develop their business acumen and many other life skills. Scott says that “he had underestimated the numerous elements required to bring an idea to life but that he has had incredible guidance from his teacher Mr. Seamus Heneghan, Mr. Garrett Spellman @Designlab_Ros and Mr. Jamie Fergus owner of Opacity Design”.
