Pumpkin Carving

First Years enjoyed a Pumpkin Carving Competition last week to celebrate their first term in the CBS, and to get into the spirit of Halloween. The three First Year classes availed of the fine weather and brought their pumpkins outside to the large outside seating area, where they carved and decorated their pumpkins. Students brought their own pumpkins in and extras were kindly supplied by Fullards. Students got very competitive, and used a variety of materials such as paint, glue, wool, beads and sticks to embellish their creations. Winners on the day all received a voucher for their efforts. Students in the Edmund Rice Centre also produced a fantastic display of pumpkin designs. Many thanks to all teachers for organising.  Thanks also to the students and staff of the Edmund Rice Centre who also organised a host of fun games and pumpkin carving to celebrate the season.
