CBS Roscommon has undergone a new change, introducing a Buddy System where TY’s get an opportunity to mentor First Years and help them familiarise new students with secondary school life. First Year Head Breda Buckley decided to introduce it so that students have someone to help them in their First Year in school. At the start of the school year, TYs met their mentees and had a friendly conversation to get to know them. After that, they headed to the front of the school for a bit of sports to have fun after meeting their mentee. They all had great fun and the mentoring program is currently going well. (article by Craig Counihan, TY).
