Teaching and Learning in the CBS

Literacy and numeracy are crucial to a young person’s ability to develop fully as an individual and to participate in society. Mindful of this, we reinforce literacy and numeracy skills within each class and subject area.
We strive to ensure that learning is a positive, engaging experience for all students.  Teachers always aim to include active learning methods in the classroom for example: games, quizzes, real life materials and artefacts, guest speakers and video clips which are accessible to students at all levels.
Continuous professional development is very important to our teachers. They are proactive in keeping up to date with curriculum changes and best practices in their particular subject areas to ensure that students are provided with a first class education.
