Well done to our TY students who successfully completed an intensive First Aid- CPR/AED training course this week. The day long course which took place in the Abbey included topics such as Cardiac Arrest, Choking, Stroke, Heart Attack; Activation of the emergency service; how to give CPR to an adult and child and infant; Use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED); how to help a choking victim and how how to relieve choking in the responsive and unresponsive victim of any age. It was an extremely important course, and students learnt a huge amount throughout the day. Many thanks to Anna, the facilitator on the day for an excellent hands-on workshop.
