This Wednesday evening, First Year parents will attend the school for an information evening on the transition from primary to secondary, and to meet with teachers, management and other parents in an informal setting.
Head of First Year, Ms Buckley will speak to parents about the various procedures in place within the school to ensure that the academic performance and wellbeing of each student is monitored on a regular basis. She will talk about the new mentoring programme in place in conjunction with TY students and will outline the positive routines that First Years should adopt, particularly the importance of organisational skills in ensuring that they are prepared for each day. Principal Kevin Scollan will outline support procedures in place within the school for each student, as well as answering some of questions that parents may have.
